 The Professional Year Programme is a popular project in Australia for overseas graduates with degrees in accountancy, engineering, or computer technology. The programme is designed to assist participants gain the practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen career and to ease their transition into the Australian workforce. It normally lasts 44 weeks and involves classroom instruction, job experience, and career development courses.
